No Win No Fee
No Cold Calling
It is not always easy to know what to do when you discover that you have lost money to what you believe was a scam. In particular, you may have paid the company by bank transfer on your internet banking. If you have lost more than £5,000 in a scam or fraudulent act, then the team at Lincoln Green Solicitors would like to hear from you to see if we can help you recover your money.
The FCA does a lot of behind-the-scenes work to try and stamp out fraud and scams by scanning up to 100,000 websites a day. However, fraudsters are clever, and there will always be those that evade the FCAs policing of the internet.
Scammers often make their websites appear trustworthy and eye-catching by using celebrities to endorse the products.
Fake Scammer Websites
Many of these are fake, and the websites are often removed by the web hosting company, only to be replaced with another similar website a few days later. You should ask yourself, “does that woman in the picture really live in Bletchley, drive a Ferrari and have her own private jet” after just two weeks of “trading on that platform”. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is! As the rewards for the scammers are very high, they only have to win occasionally. The game of cat and mouse constantly evolves.
In 2021, the FCA ordered 564 websites to amend their content or be shut down. In the first half of 2022, the FCA added a colossal 1,966 companies to the Warning List. The FCA’s warning list currently has 9,728 businesses that consumers should not consider engaging with for fear of losing their money.
Cold Calling Techniques
If you have been “cold called” or have visited a website and tricked into making what you believed was some form of investment, only to have ended up losing money, and you made a payment directly from your bank account, then we may be able to help you.
It doesn’t matter if your investment was in binary options, cryptocurrencies, shipping containers, or even speculative investments in the Amazon rainforest or anything else. We may be able to help you recover your money as long as the specific transaction was within the last five years.

How can we help you?
First, we will need you to provide us with as much evidence as possible, such as copies of all of the documents that the company gave you, along with evidence that shows when the monies were paid, how much was paid, and who the recipient was.
Once we have this information, then we will audit your potential case and will let you know if we will be able to assist you in pursuing a claim to recover your monies. If we can help you in pursuing a claim, then we will do so under a “no win, no fee” agreement. Thus, the onus will be on us to recover your money as we will not charge you any upfront fees.
